Chantal Biya is the First Lady of Cameroon. She was born on 4 December, 1970 in Dimako, East Province, Cameroon to French expatriate Georges Vigouroux and Miss Doume pageant winner Rosette Ndongo Mengolo.
She married President Paul Biya on 23 April 1994, after his first wife, Jeanne - Irene Biya, died in 1992. She is the mother of two, Paul Junior Biya and Anastasia Brenda Biya.
Like many first ladies Chantal Biya has established several charitable organizations. Among them are African Synergy, which pursues various HIV/AIDS initiatives and the Chantal Biya Foundation.
